Species

The story is pretty ludicrous to begin with and goes fully predictable from there. Alien contact via the SETI program yields up a formula for building a really cool DNA strand that can be used to clone a humanoid. Surprise, the aliens have sent us a nasty one.

In the form of a young girl, who has incredible strength and if that isn't enough, she isn't as innocent as she looks...in fact underneath her fair skin is a pretty nasty looking specimen. Or is that species?

Anyway, in short time (a few days), the girl is now a fully grown and mature alien type, who if not riled up too much, is a very sexy blond lady out to find a mate so she can turn into a bunch more of herself...as in a new species on the planet? Yep.

And of course the government brings in some experts to find our unlikely alien lass, a killer, a empath, and a real smart doctor type, and some guy we never really get to understand. Perhaps that is for the best, cuz since he can't get into the pants of any of the woman around him, he is really excited and gonad-headed when the alien takes a pass at him.

It isn't real clear what she does to him, but it ought to be pretty gruesome. The really nice touch to this film is the Giger creation...yes a new Giger alien complete with wrap around tail/phallus member which only Giger knows or would care to know how it all works.

The alien fakes her death by blowing up a car with a similar body size woman in it, and almost gets away with it.

Okay, enough already. The film is okay, but Kingsley is totally miscast as an uncaring, "anything for science" professor type, and our killer (we always forget this guy's name) is far too smooth. The alien adult far too beautiful and fragile, yet with big pouty lips that are supposed to make her just that much more sensual. The script has this actress reprising the role of the confused and barely coping mermaid in Splash, only this is not the kinder, gentler creature of that film.
