The Monster Movies

Monster Movies also began back in the early days of film. During world War II, B movie studios concentrated on propaganda. But shortly after the war, the low budget studios began to refocus on the horror film. Monsters were an easy horror topic, so there was a virtual flood of 'em. Some were rather well done. With today's colorization, many of the older B&W B movies have been upgraded considerably. If the film had a fairly high quality of acting, the colorized versions seem to hold up well. A good example is "The Thing". Rent it, you'll see what we mean.
